Fresno Fl.o

August 29, 2017 by Richard Martinez

...Abstract..::

Flow, Orientation, Transit

Situated at the center of California in the heart of its newest metropolis, this project brings forth a responsibility of ushering on average of up to 2 million transit riders annually in and out of Fresno.

No less important is the challenge of how these millions of riders will flow from a platform situated approximately sixty feet about street level – hundreds at a time, several times an hour – down onto the street grid.

The opportunity that sets this site apart from any other throughout the California High Speed Rail corridor is the orientation of this station to the views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, historic buildings linked by the Fulton Mall, and the downtown of California’s 4th largest rapidly growing city.
